In recent weeks, a new version has appeared - perhaps a little more subtle, but still quite offensive. It's as if those hands are reaching into a candy jar of Swiss ID cards and are about to be slapped by the candy monitor. I have spotted at least 5 of these billboards in the area -- just blocks from the UN and what is suppose to be the heart of peace, neutrality and tolerance...Interesting.

That's interesting - when I was there in the 90's, right after the EU happened, we were having dinner in some restaurant and got to talking to the locals. We talked about Texas and Shrub and so forth and how everyone in the US has guns. Then they were complaining about the massive influx if immigrants from all over Europe and the Eastern Bloc who were 'taking jobs' and 'living off the government.' Apparently is was a new thing for them and they were shocked by it. We tried to explain that we lived three hours from the Mexican border so that was old news here, and you could tell it had never occurred to them.
Anyhoo, hope you're doing great.
